Sedation/Anesthesia

Oral sedation, or injectable sedation is available.  Many times sedation is not needed when providing veterinary services at home, but can come in handy!

Anesthesia: renders the animal unconscious. Inhalant (gas) is quick and safe. Works very well for cats. Can be used to maintain a longer plane of anesthesia for surgical procedures.  Always monitored by a technician and equiptment. Injectable:  used for short procedures, or to initiate gas anesthesia.

The type of sedation or anesthesia is dependent on the animal, its condition, and the procedure to be performed. Thorough discussion with the animals guardian with take place prior to any sedation or anesthestic administration.
